I suppose I may be a rarer sight than a Grizzly bear out here. As I rode up to a beautiful overlook of the Tetons over Jackson Lake, I noticed something wasn\u2019t quite right. Instead of facing the lake and the mountains, the people were all facing the road. Was there a bear? A bison? No, it was me! I decided this would be an excellent time to pull out the phone and take pictures of the people taking pictures of me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All day, people stopped to take photos of this unusual wildlife. It\u2019s a good thing I don\u2019t mind. I find it rather entertaining, actually, though I\u2019m glad I\u2019m on the dirt roads and out of sight most of the time. I tried to stop to chat with most of the people and had a good time meeting everyone. If you\u2019re one of those who captured me on film, please send me the picture or movie! When I woke up this morning, I felt sluggish. I\u2019d pondered trying to ride a big day to my next mail drop up on Togwotee Pass. I decided, without too much debate, to sleep in and ride a shorter, more relaxed day. I got to riding just before 9:00 and, around noon found myself at the Flagg Ranch Resort between the southern entrance to Yellowstone and the northern entrance to Grand Teton. I stopped at the ranch for coffee and to load up on sugar. Upon leaving the ranch, I turned onto 89\/287. This was an exciting turn for me because it was part of the route that my uncle and I took on our road trip to Banff, where I started this journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I enjoyed riding down the road and watching everyone\u2019s expressions as they drove by. It helped the miles fly by, and I soon found myself at Colter Bay, where I\u2019m staying tonight at the hiker\/biker camp. I\u2019ve met many other cyclists on their own tours, as well as several other campground guests. When you ride around a campground on a unicycle, it\u2019s not too hard to strike up conversations. It took me a while to get anywhere, but I had nowhere else to be. I especially enjoyed hanging out with Seth and Family and friends; it was nice to sit down and have some company. I think I left the Seth clan around 8:30. It was about a quarter mile back to my tent, but I didn\u2019t find my sleeping bag until 10:30 as I was stopped several times on my way back. So much for getting some much-needed sleep. I\u2019m looking forward to breakfast with the other cyclists in the morning if I can wake up early enough. My appetite has jumped to a new level over the last few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
