I got moving at daybreak this morning to get into town with enough time to finish chores and head out in the morning. The day dragged on and on. My legs don\u2019t seem to be recovering anymore, which makes the riding\u2026 unpleasant\u2026 On a positive note, a seat angle adjustment I made in Abiquiu seems to be helping, and the seat, though not fun, is now bearable again (sometimes). Back on a negative note, the profiles on our maps are wrong and making things very frustrating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I pulled into Grants around 6:00 to realize I\u2019d been here before. Route 66 passes through town, and as I rode down the historic route, I remembered driving a solar-powered car through town as part of the 2001 American Solar Challenge, a solar car race along Rt. 66.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found Queen Bee and \u2018It\u2019s All Downhill\u2019 at Denny\u2019s for dinner, then resupplied at Walmart before heading to our motel room. We\u2019re trying to start early tomorrow for a huge 100-mile day into Pie Town. We\u2019re crossing our fingers that it doesn\u2019t rain. If it does, we\u2019ll be stuck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
