My nickname/trail name should maybe be ‘double zero.’ I seem to take two days off quite often. My body felt ready to ride out, but Josh, Jenny, and Tre were taking a rest day here, so I quickly submitted to peer pressure. Our schedules from here to the next town stop of Del Norte look the same, and I’m super excited about the possibility of traveling with this group for a little while. I may not be able to keep up during the day, but I should be able to make it to the same camp at night.

I sat most of the day, rotating between the park, bike shop, and coffee shop (and later various pizza establishments). While I sat in the park this morning, I saw someone ride down the street on a Penny Farthing. I hopped on the unicycle to chase him down. I wish I could have watched the scene from a third party’s perspective.

There’s not a whole lot to report today. We’re stealth camping along the Arkansas River tonight, and I’m having a blast with this new company.
