A day off! Today, I cut my pack weight significantly and reevaluated how I mount gear to the unicycle. I’m getting rid of the rear bar; it’s heavy and makes the unicycle more challenging to mount. As planned, I’m also ditching the body armor. I will try to pick some minimal knee pads if and when I come across some.

I explored the town a little today and found a nice ankle brace in the pharmacy. Unfortunately, it’s for the left foot, and my injury is to the right. They’ve ordered the right one for me, but it won’t be in until early afternoon tomorrow – I may have an excuse to take an extra rest day. I think the extra rest for the ankle is a good idea, anyway.

I also spent some time today making stoves from aluminum cans.
