Today’s post somehow disappeared. I write the entries on my iPhone each night and upload them when I get into town. I then schedule them to post one per day. There is a delay, but it creates a more continuous flow of entries. Anyway, today I’m actually in Helena, MT, and I noticed that my current entries are a day off. I traced the discrepancy back to this day. By the way, if you want more current updates, you can check my Facebook page.

So, as I said, this day’s entry has entered the void. I’m not going to try to get into much detail about the day because, at this point, I don’t remember much of it (I don’t think I remembered much at the end of the day’s ride either). This day was probably the low point of the trip, partly due to the heat and partly because it was just one of those days. I remember falling asleep in the tall grass on the side of the road with my pack still on, flies swarming, and an insane stretch of blowdowns. Climbing through the blowdowns was the fun part of my day.

Don’t worry. Since this day, I’ve had some of the best days out here!
