Okay, which one of you transported me back to Canada? Not funny. It unexpectedly rained all day. There were a few respites, but the rain was just replaced by cold headwinds. I took a few breaks and skipped lunch to keep moving to stay ‘warm.’ There’s a fine line there; at some point, you run out of calories and exhaust yourself. I managed to push through with only a few quick snacks. I’ve had a big dinner to catch up.

I was surprised to find that I’d covered so many miles today. I guess that happens when I keep moving and have other things to distract me from the seat. I was also afraid to get off the uni because getting back on proved to be more and more of a challenge as the day wore on. My fingers were numb, and I had trouble holding on to the uni to hop on it. Sometimes, I’d try, and it’d just go flying out of my hands.

The sun finally poked through just before I arrived at camp. It promptly set, but it was enough to cheer me up a little and give me hope that tomorrow will be a better day.
