Day 38 – Aquatic Ape
A bald eagle is perched atop the tree in front of my tent right now. It is munching on a trout that I watched it catch as I floated out on Brooks Lake at sunset. That’s right, I’m on a boat and still at Brooks Lake.
Day 37 – Drums
I can’t believe I’m paying $10 for a campsite tonight in the Shoshone National Forest when there’s plenty of free camping all around. I didn’t feel like looking for a campsite in the dark, so I’m here.
Day 36 – Teton NP
I suppose I may be a rarer sight than a Grizzly bear out here. As I rode up to a beautiful overlook of the Tetons over Jackson Lake, I noticed something wasn’t quite right. Instead of facing the lake and the mountains
Day 35 – 1,000 miles!
At some point today, I crossed the 1,000-mile mark. I feel like it, too. I also finished up my brief stint in Idaho and moved on to Wyoming.
