Day 65 – Marshall Pass
We all rolled out of Salida at various times this morning. Josh and Jenny caught up to me during my lunch break. We then headed up the remaining 3,000 feet over Marshall Pass

Day 64 – I’m a bum
My nickname/trail name should maybe be ‘double zero.’ I seem to take two days off quite often. My body felt ready to ride out, but Josh, Jenny, and Tre were taking a rest day here, so I quickly submitted to peer pressure.

Day 63 – Medicine
I had every intention of leaving town today, I swear. I ran some errands in the morning: a trip to the outfitter to get a new water bladder (to replace the one that burst the other day), a trip to the bike shop to ask a question, and a stop at the grocery store to resupply and get lunch.

Day 62 – Salida
I was surprised that it rained much of the night. It stopped by the time the sun came up, but I slept in anyway. As I got going, I realized I had less than 1,000 miles remaining!

Day 61 – Singing In The Rain
I probably made more noise today than I have on this entire trip. First, it was grunts and shrieks of pain, then talking to myself, then ‘singing,’ and then back to grunting.

Day 60 – Rolling once again
I’m back at it! After nearly a week of rest, I’m back on the muni heading south. This morning, I relocated to where I’d left the route, then rode back into Frisco and on to Breckenridge.

Days 55 to 60 – Boulder and Aspen
I’ve spent nearly a week off the route in Boulder and Aspen. It was a great vacation, but I suppose it’s about time I get back to pedaling. It was nice to reconnect with four of my old friends whom I haven’t seen in years

Day 54 – Sean
I managed to wake up at a decent time and get riding before 6:30 this morning. Once again, there was frost. It was a chilly ride until the sun came up over the mountains. I moved at a decent clip this morning; I wanted to get to Silverthorne at a decent time to meet and ride with Sean.

Day 53 – Dragging on
Even though I thought the sun was shining, I had a hard time waking up this morning. Turns out the sun wasn’t shining, it was just bright out compared to yesterday. I was in a cloud, and it was cold. There was frost on my unicycle seat.

Day 52 – Oh Canadorado!
Okay, which one of you transported me back to Canada? Not funny. It unexpectedly rained all day. There were a few respites, but the rain was just replaced by cold headwinds.
